Located in the western suburb of Hangzhou,
the capital of Zhejiang Province, Hangzhou Municipal Taiping Knitting Garments
Co., Ltd (YMTKG), since its establishment in 1985, has been a major producer
of various kinds of fashionable knitting garments made of such materials
as spun silk, cashmere, wool, cotton and etc.
YMTKG has grown into a big enterprise with 2000 workers and staff, of which
is 154 technicians as the backbone engaged in designing, researching and
developing brand-new products, its fixed capital totaling 46 million RMB
yuans (UAD 5.54 million), its area covering 30000sqm, and its annual knitwear
output coming to 2 million pieces. Geared to the needs of international
market, YMTKG has doubled its efforts to turn out so marketable products
that their novel designs, excellent materials and superb quality gain itself
a good reputation among customers home and abroad. What's more, YMTKG is
now well equipped with knitting machines of all types. More than 45 million
RMB yuans (USD5.42 million) has been invested to better its facilities since
August in 1999 in order to reach the first class in international knitwear
sector.

| From the year of 1995, YMTKG has switched to the policy
of all the products for exports, its volume of trade showing a yearly increae
of 40%, with the volume in 1999 standing at 120 million RMB yuans (USD 14.6
million). Furthermore, YMTKG also has long-term business ties with world-known
corporations in the USA, Germany, Japan and other countries. At present
its head office lies in Taiping with four branches scattered in Luniao,
Baizhang, Henghu and Shuangxi respectively. As it yielded 8.5 million RMB
yuans (USD 1.02 million) of profits plus tax in 1999, YMTKG was awarded
both the title of "Ten Top Private Business in Hangzhou" by the
city government and the title of "One Hundred Best Foreign Exchange
Earning Private Enterprises in Zhejiang Province", ranking the ninth
place by The Industry and Commerce Administrative Bureau of Zhejiang Province
and The Department of Foreign Trade & Economic Cooperation of Zhejiang
Province. |
